Yes. Virginia requires you to be fingerprinted and a background check. To schedule a fingerprint reservation, please contact Fieldprint. Schedule your exam first, then contact Fieldprint and schedule your fingerprint reservation. Fingerprints must not be older than 90 days for use with your insurance application.
Tip: You should register for the exam well in advance of the day you want to take your exam. Bring your government issued photo ID. Plan to have your fingerprints taken through Fieldprint at one of its 46 locations. Your fingerprints are only valid for 90 days when using them for your insurance agent’s license application, so plan accordingly. Visit Fieldprint and use code “FPVABOICHRR” to create a secure user account. This Fieldprint code ensures that the results are provided to the Bureau of Insurance.
