Yes. Although we do not recommend it, you are free to take more than one course at a time.
Our Practice Questions PLUS Package contains all of the questions and interactions (e.g. Exam Review Mode, Exam Simulation Mode, etc.) in our Practice Questions Package. If you purchase our full insurance exam prep course, and you are just beginning the study of insurance, you should consider spending approximately 3 weeks. Some students report being ready in one week; others take 5-6 weeks. We think that planning a solid daily schedule over 2-3 weeks works for most students.
One size does not fit everyone. While we do provide a suggested pathway: Read the chapter, then go through Quick Review Slides with Rapid Fire Drills, then go through the test bank for that chapter using the Exam Review Mode. Finally, do a quick read over that chapter’s Super Sheet and take our chapter questions in a timed exam (Exam Simulation Mode). Having said all of that, it is really up to you. You are free to move around our material with no restrictions in order to find a learning pathway that works best for you.
When using our materials to help you pass your exam, a certification of completion is not issued. Also, in states with no prelicensing education requirement, certificates of completion are not issued. However, if your state has a prelicensing education requirement and if we have an approved prelicensing course in your state, then you will receive a certificate of completion from us. However, if you are in a prelicensing education state and we do not have an approved prelicensing education course, you must have taken an approved course and received a certificate of completion in order to take your exam. In that situation, you will have received a certificate of completion from the approved company, not from us.
You will receive access to two great digital manuals- one covering national materials and one covering general state rules and regulations. Both are in electronic, PDF format and are downloadable and printable. Even though we do not send out printed versions of the manuals, you are free to have your local copy shop print and bind a copy for you. However, you do not receive a manual with our Practice Questions Package or our Practice Questions PLUS Package.
Both the Super Sheets and manuals are PDF format and printable. We just ask that you honor our copyright and single use license and only use our materials for your own exam prep. This allows us to keep our prices competitive for future individuals like you.

It depends. In some states we have developed specific state supplements while in other states we have not. Click on the Select Your State menu item (top menu on any page) and view your state’s specific rules and our offerings.
General Overview: Your insurance exam is divided into two parts- the General Knowledge portion and the State Rules and Regulations portion. The General Knowledge portion covers a wide range of insurance concepts- some basic and some advanced. Our materials do an excellent job covering the General Knowledge portion of the exam. The State Rules and Regulation portion is further divided into two parts- general state rules and unique state rules. The general state rules tested over in your state are the same for all states and the unique rules tested over contain your state’s rules that differ slightly from most all other states. Our materials do an excellent job covering the general state law rules portion of your exam. However, unless we have created a specific state supplement for your state, our materials do not cover the 15-20% of your exam that deals with your state’s unique rules. You will need access to materials that cover those state specific points.
Perhaps you have already taken the exam, have access to materials that cover the unique, state specific items, and need that little boost to help you pass the exam. If so, you will find our materials can make the difference by helping you pass the exam this time around. When you go to your state’s page, we will let you know whether your state has a prelicensing education requirement and whether our courses have been approved in your state. In those states that have a prelicensing education requirement, and where have not obtained approval for our courses, you must take an approved prelicensing education course from another company in order to be eligible to take your state’s exam. A list of approved courses and providers can be found by clicking on the Licensing and Testing Info link once you are on your state’s product page. However, once you have taken an approved course and need help passing the exam, that’s where our courses shine. Most states contract with an exam company, which provides for online registration. The biggest bit of advice we can you give is to try to schedule your exam several weeks in advance. This does a couple of good things. First, it let’s you put your study plan of action in place and provides an incentive to stay on track. Second, you want to make sure you have a spot when you are ready to take the exam. If you need to change your date, that is normally not a problem, but you should do so with enough warning to avoid a penalty. Yes. The insurance exams are difficult. It takes solid preparation using the best course materials available. The first time passing rate averages around 50-60%, depending on which exam you are taking. How do you beat those odds? We recommend that you plan to prepare for approximately three weeks in advance of when you are scheduled to take the exam. We have spent over 2000 hours putting together our exam prep materials and Professor Furniss has helped over 10,000 individuals like you obtain and maintain their professional insurance licenses. With the right material and with some good old fashioned elbow grease, you should soon pass your exam.
You don’t. However, each state publishes a Test Content Outline, which provides a fairly detailed listing of exam topics. We have used these outlines to develop our course materials. You may review the test content outline for your state by going to your state’s product page (choose Select Your State on the top menu), then click on the Licensing and Testing Info tab, at the bottom of the page. This page provides a link to your state’s testing service, where you can find Test Content Outlines specific to your state.
