The Arkansas Insurance Department will issue an insurance license to individuals who:
- Are at least eighteen (18) years old
- Have completed an approved prelicensing education course designated for the particular exam/license applied for
- Have passed the proper licensing examination
- Have completed a Criminal Background Check (after passing the exam and before applying for the license)
- Have submitted a completed online application with $20 fee (exam certificate is valid for 12 months from date of passing the exam)
- Meets all other applicable license requirements
- Submits proof of citizenship
- Have not committed an act for which a license may be denied, see here
