You must apply for your license after you pass your exam. In Wisconsin, you must submit a completed application within 12 months of passing the exam. You apply online through an organization called National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR).

Make sure you obtain your fingerprinting through Fieldprint immediately before you apply for your license. Fingerprinting data is good for only 6 months. If the fingerprinting data is stale, you will have to spend another fee and get your fingerprinting done again.
