Fingerprinting Services
To schedule a fingerprint reservation, please schedule through Prometric’s scheduling website. Go here.
The Utah Department of Insurance requires all individuals applying for a resident insurance license to be fingerprinted. Fingerprinting must be done at a Prometric test center, using “live scan” technology, which digitally captures and transmits the fingerprints to the Utah Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Tip: If you want Prometric to scan your fingerprints immediately after you pass your exam, you must register for the fingerprinting processing service.
We recommend you do not schedule your fingerprint appointment until you have passed your licensing exam. You will not be fingerprinted if you do not pass your exam. |
