You must apply for your license after you pass your exam. In West Virginia, you must submit a completed application within 6 months of passing the exam. You apply online through an organization called National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR).

Make sure you obtain your fingerprinting through IdentoGO immediately before you apply for your license, as the fingerprinting data id good for 60 days. If the fingerprinting data is stale, you will have to spend another fee and get your fingerprinting done again.
